Aqara M200 vs Mysa Smart AC: Which one fits your needs?

The M200 and Mysa are both strong smart aircon controllers, but they have one key difference that might make the choice obvious for you.

Price

Winner: M200. The Aqara M200 is $119 versus $139 for the Mysa Smart AC. A $20 difference — not huge, but the M200 also does more.

Physical Display

Winner: Mysa, and this is its unique advantage. The Mysa has a built-in LED display that shows the current temperature and set point right on the device. No need to open an app or pick up a remote just to see what temperature your aircon is set to. For some people, this alone makes the Mysa the right choice. No other smart aircon controller in this price range has a physical display.

Apple HomeKit Support

Winner: M200. The M200 works with Apple Home today, via Matter. Mysa has promised HomeKit support, but as of now it’s not available. If you’re an Apple Home user, the M200 is the safe bet — it works right now.

Everything Else

Winner: M200 across the board. Here’s where the M200 pulls ahead in every remaining category:

  • 5GHz WiFi support — The M200 supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Mysa is 2.4GHz only, which can cause connection headaches with modern routers.
  • IR feedback detection — The M200 detects when someone uses the physical remote and updates its status. Mysa doesn’t.
  • Matter and Thread — The M200 supports Matter, the universal smart home standard. Mysa doesn’t support Matter or Thread.
  • Sensor ecosystem — The M200 is a Zigbee hub that works with 50+ Aqara sensors and devices. Mysa is a standalone device with no ecosystem.

Our Recommendation

For most Singapore households, get the Aqara M200. It’s cheaper, more feature-rich, has HomeKit support today, and opens the door to a full smart home ecosystem. It wins in almost every category.

Get the Mysa if a physical display is a must-have for you. If you want to glance at the device and see your temperature without reaching for your phone, the Mysa is the only option that offers that. It’s a well-made device with a clean app — just know that you’re giving up ecosystem, Matter support, HomeKit, 5GHz WiFi, and IR feedback detection.
