Aqara M200 vs Mysa Smart AC: Which one fits your needs?

The M200 and Mysa take different approaches to smart aircon control. The M200 is a feature-rich hub that connects to a broader smart home ecosystem. The Mysa is a focused, standalone controller with a unique physical display. Here’s how they compare.

Price

The Aqara M200 is $119; the Mysa Smart AC is $139. A $20 difference. Both include all features with no subscription required.

Physical Display

The Mysa has a built-in LED display that shows the current temperature and your set point directly on the device. Glance across the room and you know exactly what’s going on — no app, no phone, no voice command needed.

This is a genuinely useful feature that no other controller in this price range offers. In bedrooms especially, where you might want to check the temperature in the middle of the night without reaching for your phone, it’s a thoughtful touch.

The M200 doesn’t have a physical display. You’ll check temperature via the app, a voice assistant, or a paired sensor like the W100 Climate Sensor (sold separately).

Smart Home Platform Support

The M200 works with Apple Home (via Matter), Google Home, Alexa, SmartThings, and Home Assistant. Mysa works with Google Home and Alexa today; HomeKit support has been announced but isn’t available yet. If Apple Home is important to you, the M200 is the safe choice right now.

WiFi

The M200 supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Mysa is 2.4GHz only. In Singapore’s dense WiFi environments, dual-band support can make setup easier with modern combined-band routers.

IR Feedback Detection

The M200 detects when someone uses the physical remote and updates the app accordingly. The Mysa doesn’t have this feature. In households where multiple people use the remote, the M200 keeps its app in sync more reliably.

Ecosystem

The M200 connects to 50+ Aqara sensors and accessories. Mysa is a standalone device with no accessories or expansion options. This is a meaningful difference if you want to build automations based on room occupancy, open windows, or temperature readings from a different spot — but if you just want straightforward aircon control, Mysa’s standalone simplicity means there’s nothing extra to think about.

App Experience

Both apps are clean and functional. The Mysa app is straightforward — scheduling, temperature control, and energy reporting. The Aqara app is deeper but busier, reflecting its broader ecosystem.

Which one should you get?

Choose the Aqara M200 if you want the broadest feature set, plan to expand into a smart home ecosystem, need HomeKit today, or want Matter and 5GHz WiFi support.

Choose the Mysa Smart AC if you value a physical temperature display on the device, prefer a simple standalone product with no ecosystem to manage, or want a clean and focused aircon controller that does the basics well.
